# Secrets

### What is the Secrets feature:

A feature developed by Pier Cloud that allows you to register all the keys that will be used in connections and that cannot be visible for security reasons.

### How to use the Secrets feature:

1. "The system will display the side menu with configuration options. Select **"Secrets"**:

* On the main screen, the system allows you to view the registered Secrets and add new ones by clicking the "**Add**" button:

4. The screen for registering new Secrets will be displayed, where you will need to enter the following information:

* **Name**: Enter the name of the Secret you wish to register

* Type: Select the type of secret according to the connection that will be made on the platform.

5. **Actions**

The system also allows you to perform some actions for each registered Secret:

* **Remove**: By clicking on the "![](https://1687673077-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ9sinLUl52lDK1vg6b8g%2Fuploads%2FbClWvxMEW1YGsyMIgtu9%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=77362fe5-8928-481c-a35c-456dcc727c4b)" icon, you can remove the registered Secret.
  \
  The system will display a message to confirm the deletion.

By checking the checkbox, the button to complete the action and return to the main screen will be enabled.

* **View**: By clicking on the Secret, the system will open a screen to view more information about the secret.

The view option only allows access to the first 7 characters of each field.
