# Equipment

1. When selecting the **“Equipment”** resource type, the system will request the following additional information:

### Properties

* **Contract**: Select the contract option related to the equipment.
* **Description**: Enter a brief description of the resource being registered.
* **Acquisition** **type**: Specify how the resource was acquired—**purchase, lease, or colocation**.
* **Will this resource replace another one?** Select **Yes** or **No**.
* **Accounting asset value**: Enter the accounting value of the asset.
* **License ID**: Enter the license ID for the resource.

### Financial Information

* **Resource value**: Enter the value corresponding to the equipment being registered.
* **Unit cost/month**: Not applicable.
* **Start date**: Enter the start date of the equipment’s validity period.
* **End date**: Enter the end date of the equipment’s validity period.
* **Quantity**: Enter the number of units for this equipment.
* **Monthly depreciation**: The monthly depreciation percentage will be filled in automatically.

### Technical Information

* **vCPU**: Enter the number of vCPUs of the equipment.
* **RAM**: Enter the amount of RAM.
* **Unit**: Select the unit of measurement from the available options (**GB, User, vCPU, Core)**.

Finally, by clicking the **Save** button, the system will store the registered resource in the Data Center and return to the main resources screen.
