# Select a Date Range

**Workspaces** allow you to gather information from the entire cloud environment, allowing the user to centralize all the necessary information in a dashboard. This gives you an up-to-date view and allows you to compare the results with previous months to understand the degree of success of the best practices applied for each project or team, etc.

This way, we provide users with a way to monitor daily, monthly or yearly events to know exactly what action they should take based on team analysis from **Workspaces**.

**Before Starting:**

First of all, it is very important to emphasize that you must have a clearly defined date for monitoring in the Workspaces, to avoid the risk of performing incorrect analyses of the dashboards. 

**Step by step execution:** 

**Step 1**: In Lighthouse, access the Workspace module:

**Step 2**: Access the Workspace to enable the Date filter.

Competency: Use this option to select the month/year or a period of months/year.

**Date:** Use this option to select a specific date or a period of days.

Use the periods available in the **Frequently used** list to quickly switch the date range.

**Step 4**: Click on the date to select the period.

Select the time range for analysis.

That's it! All the Dashboards are now ready for the user to analyze the data for the period in the “Workspaces".
